Fast Charging for Qi enabled devices
You can enable fast charging by using a power bank or the 12V output of the model 3 front armrest.
Installation
First steps
Underneath the display on the model 3, open it up and here is the center console.
Remove the OEM phone pad
Rotate up the phone platform
Push left on the original horizontal phone bumper to remove it
Pull out the charging cable, the original pad will pop up and you can remove the charging cable from the USB port. The platform is now free, you can begin the installation of our model 3 wireless charger.
The installation will be done in a just a few seconds:
Take the 2 USB-A to USB-C cables that are included in the set, connect USB-C to the two Type C ports on the back of wireless charging pad then pass the cables through the openings of the phone deck and push the wireless charging pad into place.
Next, take the 2 USB splitters, plug both USB-A heads to the USB ports in the car. Connect the USB-A heads on the wireless charging pad to the USB ports on the USB splitters.
Then put the horizontal bumper back into its spot.
Rotate the platform up and plug the cables into the USB port to complete the installation.
Now you can place your phone on the pad
Your phone will begin to charge, if your phone is charging correctly, the little light indicator will be turned on.
If you have a small size phone, you can even flip the display cover back.
FAQ
Can I use my Talsem Wireless charging pad with my USB Hub?
Yes, the Talsem USB Hub and the model 3 wireless charger can be used simultaneously.
Can you put your phone face down on a wireless charger?
No you cannot charge your phone face down on our Tesla model 3 wireless charger. As most of the smartphones charging coil are at the back of the phone, the wireless charger pad needs to make contact with the back of the phone.
Do I need to remove my phone case for wireless charging?
In most cases, you do not need to remove your phone case to use our wireless charger for Tesla. However, if your case is too thick or feature metallic components, it can prevent the wireless charging process from working.seats.
