Restarting the Touchscreen Tesla Model 3
If your touchscreen becomes unresponsive or exhibits unexpected behaviour, you can restart it to see if the problem is resolved.
Warning: Restart the touchscreen only when the vehicle is stopped and in Park. During the restart, the car's status display, safety alerts, backup camera, and other features will be unavailable.
- Shift the vehicle into Park.
- Hold down both steering wheel scroll buttons until the touchscreen turns black.
- The Tesla logo will show in a few seconds. Allow around 30 seconds for the touchscreen to reactivate. If the touchscreen is still not responding or showing abnormalities, try powering cycling the vehicle.
Note: Using the scroll buttons to restart the touchscreen does not turn the Model 3 off and on.
