Restarting the Touchscreen Tesla Model Y
If your touchscreen becomes unresponsive or exhibits unexpected behaviour, you can restart it to see if the problem is resolved.
Important Note: Restart the touchscreen only when the vehicle is stopped and in Park. During the restart, the car's status display, safety alerts, backup camera, and other features will be unavailable.
- Put the vehicle into Park.
- Hold down both steering wheel scroll buttons until the touchscreen turns black.
- The Tesla logo displays after a few seconds. Allow around 30 seconds for the touchscreen to reactivate. Try power cycling the vehicle if the touchscreen is still unresponsive or behaving strangely after a few minutes.
Note: Using the scroll buttons to restart the touchscreen does not turn the Model Y off and on.
