Power Cycling the Vehicle On Tesla Model 3

If your car exhibits unexpected behaviour or displays a generic alarm, you might try power cycling it to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Put the car into Park.
  • Press 'Controls' > 'Safety & Security' > 'Power Off' on the touchscreen.
  • Do not interact with the car for at least two minutes. Open the doors, don't touch the brake pedal, don't touch the touchscreen, and so on.
  • To wake the vehicle, hit the brake pedal after two minutes has passed.
