Tesla Is Top Choice

A recent survey from Consumer Reports shows that the Tesla Model 3 came out tops as the most satisfying car across four different age groups. The study included 420,000 owners in four age brackets, the Millennials, Generation X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation. From the youngest to most experienced drivers, the Model 3 hit number in each category, proving that it is the most satisfying vehicle of the year. Owners were asked if they would buy the same car twice, and requested ratings for driving experience, comfort, value, styling, and audio controls.

Overall, these vehicles showed the strongest loyalty, reliability, and efficiency in a classy driving environment.

MILLENNIALS

The Millennial generation includes those born between 1981 to 1996. In this age group, it was universally accepted that the Tesla Model 3 was a favorite. Its affordability and appeal made it a clear winner in this category.

Honda stayed in the majority of the top ten, with the Japanese carmaker holding four spots with its Accord, CR-V, Civic, and Odyssey.

BABY BOOMERS

The Baby Boomer generation includes people who were born from 1946 to 1964 and they grew up with some of the legendary cars in the auto manufacturing industry that was ever built. For example, the Ford Mustang, which is still a highly popular car today was in production since March 1964. And, 56 years later, it still hit the list coming in tenth place. It just goes how the timeless classic has stood the test of time, however, it wasn’t good enough to beat Tesla’s Model 3. Another Tesla came up as a preferred choice for Baby Boomers, making it to the fourth position.

SILENT GENERATION

The Silent Generation is the demographic cohort following the Greatest Generation and preceding the baby boomers. The generation is defined as people born from 1928 to 1945. Yet again, the Model 3 raced to the first position as the best car used by this age group. Tesla made the list twice with the Model S in third place. Two different variants of the Toyota Prius showed up but Tesla still outperformed on the list.
